The Treasury is included in the ticket price for the Palace and it is just below the entrance to the State Rooms. There are quite a few jewels to see, the room however is quiet dull and not well lit. There are plaques that have...More

The Swedish treasures aren't as monstrous big as the British Crown Jewels, but they are wry beautiful. The domed crowns look like something from a fairy tale, set with ginormous emeralds, sapphires, pearls, rubies, and diamonds. Plus you can get a really close view of...More

Without a guide, you go down 2 floors, pay and have 2 rooms to see with minimal info about the few exhibits. With a guide, you can learn about the ceremonial swords, the clothes and the crowns. No photos allowed.

This is where many crowns, swords, and fancy clothing items of the royalty are displayed. If one is dazzled by such things, one will enjoy stopping in here. It's a fairly small treasury compared to some in France and Spain--consisting of only two small rooms,...More

Small museum (only 2 rooms) with some examples of kingdom jewellery from 1700. Crowns, sceptres, globes, swords and brooches. Description in Swedish and English. No audio guide.

I was rather disappointed by this visit. Only a few cases with very old crowns and swords on display. I thought the armoury was more interesting and that was free!

This was my second visit to the Treasury - part of the Royal Palace complex. The museum is very small but houses the crown jewels and regalia - definitely worth a visit.

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)
