I saw La Bohème during a recent visit to Stockholm. Beautiful hall, the gilding and red velvet and plush seating added to a delightful experience. We had seats in the second balcony (of three), which we purchased earlier that week. There wasn't a bad seat...More

A great ballet, it makes sense to buy tickets beforehand in order to enjoy the theater. An important feature of the hall is that the scene can be seen very clearly from any place.

Went on a tour of this beautiful building with a very knowledgeable guide. We were lucky to have a backstage visit included and learn more about the behind the scenes workings. Enjoyed dinner in the restaurant afterward.

Thousand Rooms is not enough! An eloquent 17th century building has run out of space. The kings lounge is very well done with room for about 25 people. The building has been updated with modern machinery rise all or parts of the floors and ceilings....More

Watching a moving production of Jenufa with an exceptional cast, sipping champagne in the gold foyer at intermission (which you can preorder online), and entering the gorgeous chambers and the opera theater itself in this wonderfully ornate setting. It was an experience to cherish!

Saw a production of two of Puccini's shorter operas here; beautiful hall, and cheap student tickets at only 25 euros for amazing seats

Norrmalm is Stockholm’s most central and busiest

Drottninggatan, and to Stockholm icons like the
Sergels Torg glass obelisk, the famous Hay Market with
its Carl Milles sculptures, and the Hötorget
Skyscrapers, a sight on every other Stockholm
postcard. Norrmalm is also home to Sweden’s most

The website allows you to not only book tickets, but choose your seat. It also gives the date and time of day when booking opens, so the true opera fanatic goes on to the website at precisely that moment to get the best... More
Planning a visit to see Ballet. Are the front rows a problem in seeing the stage (since you are looking up at the floor of the stage??)

For ballet I would try to get seats a couple of rows back if you can to be able to "get the whole picture"

There is no formal dress code, but "smart casual" is fine.
