Cirkus on Djurgarden was inaugurated May 25 1892 to house many of the great circus parties. Over the years Cirkus has become a community center with events such as concerts, conferences, TV recordings but especially theater, musicals and shows. In October 2015 Cirkus increased with a further stage, the smaller Skandiascenen. Today Cirkus and Skandiascenen is a complete facility. We have everything from Cirkus big stage in a historical environment, with capacity for 1644 seated guests, to the ultramodern new Skandiascenen that takes up to 800 people theater style. Cirkus Arena & Restaurant has mingling areas for several hundred guests and space for exhibitors.

Went for The Phantom of The Opera at Cirkus Stockholm. Great show, okay services like The restaurant, cloak room and toilets that all fill up and are somewhat crowded during recess and after the show. Liked The arena, good chairs and so.

Really beautifully done opera in Swedish, lots of decorations and scene changes! The tickets were quite expensive but regardless of where you sit, everybody sees and hears what is going on of the stage.

The entry and ticket handling was very efficient, and we were very quickly into the auditorium, which is very impressive. Despite being a regular 'hard' building, it really felt like a circuses big-top. The seats had slightly more legroom than at some similar venues in Stockholm and were fairly comfortable. The production was very impressive indeed, but significantly marred by... More

Year after year I've seen great shows at Cirkus and every one of them have left me with an amazing feeling! It's a wonderfull opportunity to create new memories! Cirkus is "Nordens" biggest private theater and the opening ceremony was 1892. No matter what show they play, make it a valuable memory for you!

Great theatre with a fantastic atmosphere. The only negative thing is that the chairs inte the theatre are not very comfortabe. Also the staff of the wardrobe was working very slowly.

I really like going to live performances here. The sound is allright but the interior is really old and nice. It's a cozy arena.

Not a bad seat in the house and even on the warm day that we had, was still cool inside. Bar prices are a bit steep but then this is Stockholm

Went to see dress rehearsal of POTO - excellent. Theatre with good seating, sound and view (unless you are on wings or behind a small pillar). They have a crowded classic bar and a recently built modern one. Go there by tram or bus - limited parking. Plenty of toilets downstairs in modern part (where there a smaller stage as... More

Circus is the largest theater in Stockholm, seat around 1600 guests. A concert and event scene on Djurgården in Stockholm. We saw "Kristina from Duvemåla", Benny Andersson,s musical story of emigrants that left Sweden in the mid-1800s is constantly updated and unmoved in our times when many people are on the run or break up from their home country for...
