The Stockholm canals (as well as all the bridges and islands), on which the city is built upon, are an awesome sight. I am fortunate enough to live in Stockholm close to the canals and waters, so I see them daily. Still, I am always impressed by the beauty of the city, the canals, and the beautiful, old buildings. For... More

Stockholm is built on its canals and its not possible to miss them. They are beautiful. I enjoyed crossing the different canals and the views across the city. I only spent a day in Stockholm I would have loved to have time to linger and see more.

I had the pleasure of visiting Stockholm for business in October. The canals were absolutely stunning. So beautiful and so clean. It was a pleasure to walk around and explore every day. Just grab a nice cup of coffee, a camera and comfortable shoes and just explore. The city was extremely safe and everyone was friendly. I have never been... More

This area is really a true heart of Stockholm, as the whole city is built on canals and lakes and water. I really enjoyed crossing many bridges, some going to smaller islands with one or two buildings, and some of them connecting larger areas of the city.

Because Stockholm is built on numerous islands it is laced with many canals. The canals and bridges add to the gracefulness of the city. In addition, next to the canals often there are green areas used for a number of outdoor activities. While the canals do not have to be a destination themselves they are an intricate part of any... My family and I really enjoyed our tour of the Stockholm Canals. The tour takes 50 minutes and you can see many of the city's important and beautiful sights.

Just like that Stockholm is the second Venice with its canals, islands. A town between the bridges. A must in Stockholm thanks to this tour viv and see a new vision of the city, neighborhoods, buildings, and the ships that are in the water. Really beautiful, a city that leaves you breathless.

This is the historical name for Stockholm. The bridges began to be built over bodies of water starting in 1350. Today there are 30 bridges over canals and rivers. Our Princess Cruise Tour took us over several canal and river bridges and to overlooks where we had nice views. As we live in Arizona, USA and we do not have... More

Definitely pick a warmer season, but this is a great first way to see highlights of a beautiful city and to start getting your bearings!
