I will highly recommend everyone to visit this little summer palace. One can appreciate the changes which happened during the napoleonic wars. One will be able to admire the exquisite French influence in the decoration of the palace. As it was built up when the...More

It's slightly hidden away in Djurgarden but this summer palace is most certainly worth seeking out. Wonderfully restored interiors, mostly from the Empire period but some from later in the 19th century, with the overwhelming sense being simply of colour. The central room on the...More

People use to visit the main castle, or directly take the ferry to the summer castle of the royal family. But this little gem is only a 30 minutes walk away hidden with the the big inner city park "djurgården". It's itself not big, as...More

Small, pretty palace used as a summer retreat by royalty. Only viewable on the hourly guided tours. The tour was great with lots of interesting background history on Karl IV and the Bernadotte royal family.

The guide was really nice, and she was very knowledgeable about the palace and its history. It was very informative and interesting. I do recommend the guided tour for the palace! Photos are allowed, but no flash photography.

I would recommend viewing this sweet little palace, just a bit of a walk away from the Vasa Museum. It is very elegant, and the stroll to get there is very scenic and picturesque. Much of the interior is antique, but also renovated. Nevertheless it...More

Since we had visited the Vasa Museum and the Nordiskamuseet, we continued on to this palace. No photos are allowed inside, and there is no AC. This was used as a summer palace, and our guide was informative. It's amazing how well the guides speak...More
