Djurgarden opens itself up to so many further attractions but its an easy walk from the main city and there are plenty of activities and sights to see that you can spend a day here alone!

Rented a city bike and went around town. This was a nice area to smell the fresh air, stop in parks, stop by the sea. Cycling is best because there is a long distance to cover.

Djurgarden is absolutely beautiful in the summer! There are paths leading all around the island and it's worth coming here for a long or a short walk. Don't miss this lovely walk if you are in Stockholm!

We took a long walk through this park, which is close to the city center but so removed from it. You feel like you are in a national park, with very few people and fewer cars. We didn’t go to any of the museums, choosing...More

In our list of priorities, this review starts with a most prominent monumental statue in this general area (in front of the Nordic museum). It looks like it is a monument to either the treaty of 1658 or, possibly, King Charles aka Karl X Gustav....More

This is a beautiful part of Stockholm. From the centre, you need to get on a boat. It's a very green part of Stockholm which is nice to look around. This is also where the Vasa Museum and the ABBA Museum are, so definitely worth...More

Djurgarden & Djurgardsbrunn
The island of Djurgården and its northern mainland
extension, Djurgårdsbrunn, impress with a mix of
nature and an abundance of museums, while being
located in walking distance to Stockholm’s city
center. Djurgården not only invites visitors to take
endless walks through a beautiful park landscape
without having to leave the city, but also offers an

Absolutely! Stockholm is only getting better and better for pedestrians and cyclists, while cars are less welcome. It's a nice walk down Narvavägen from Karlaplan and over the bridge.
