This is great to see how it once was and how well they have preserved it. Cute places for lunch and baked goods and craft shops as well! Easy walk from the Vasa so combine it.

If we'd had one more day in Stockholm, here's where we would have spent it. Alas, we saw only the Vasa Museum, but this is the place to see the open air folk museum and others as well.

Buy a public transportation pass, you can take a bus, boat, tram etc to the island. Once there take the tram to see where you want to stop and explore. There are many museums and attractions.

Hi! Anyone know for sure if the Djurgardsvagen street/bridge running from Karlaplan to Djurgarden is pedestrian accessible? It appears to be, but we've learned from experience you can't always trust appearances! Thanks!

Absolutely! Stockholm is only getting better and better for pedestrians and cyclists, while cars are less welcome. It's a nice walk down Narvavägen from Karlaplan and over the bridge.
