This museum was fascinating telling the story of how ship were build from the 17th century until today. Also how life onboard was back then and a hugh section with different rifles and other weapons. Some interactive parts for all ages here and there. We also entered a modern submarine and got a first hand experience guide from a man... More

This museum came as a good surprise in Karlskrona. After feeiling the disappointment of not being able to visit the most important/interesting part of the city (since it is a military area), I took a walk in the old town, and discovered this museum. Very interesting, free, and a nice place where you can have a tasty lunch! Also suitable... More

This is an excellent no-cost museum with something for everyone. We went with friends and their two small boys, who were enthralled by the special activities for kids. The building itself is impressive, and overlooking the harbour - there are ships to explore, and a great café (with both indoor and outdoor tables). We especially enjoyed the room with the... More

It used to be a museum that was easy to visit during one afternoon. After the extenxion it is tiresome to see it in one go, so I suggest to split the visit into two days. There is no charge to the museum. First I recommend to see the historical exhibition on the ground floor and the first floor. The... More

A museum is free of charge. You can see there a lot about marine life in sweden. It was almost empty when we visited it around 2pm. It was great to walk in the pipe located under the water and to see a submarine boat from inside. Everything was great there, you can hear information in different languages.

Free entry and a super cool U-boat to visit. Great for kids to wander around both inside the museum as well on the ships.

It is one of these must-see points of Karlskrona's map. Situated next to the place where yellow Aspo feries leave, a distinct building clearly visible on every city panorama. Entry is free (Aug 2016), and the place is well worth visiting. Museum is really build from frew parts that elucidate marine life and history from different angles, it's also going... More
