We set off on the 1.5 klm loop walk over a bridge then through the red wood grove, past the spring head/s then wandered back along the bank of the very clear waters of the springs. We could see the swans feeding below the water. The walk was a very nice surprise. Good track, very peaceful, just lovely.

The walk through the Redwoods back to the springs is worth it by itself but the springs are something else entirely. Absolutely worth the 20 or so minute hike but I would recommend walking through the Redwoods going to and from the springs - the track that runs along the golf course is rather boring. I expected the springs to... More

A 25 minute drive from the centre of Rotorua the Springs are located close to a golf course. Very easy to find and refreshments available close to the car park. Choice of three walks around the small "lake" area all around 700 meters and mostly on flat but uneven ground. Some protruding tree roots in the Redwood section to watch... More

This is a short walk that most people would be able to complete with no problems. No special clothing or footwear necessary. There a number of nice sports to sit down and watch the water or even lovely grass areas to put down a blanket and enjoy a picnic or just a nice spot in the sun. The water colour... More

A tiny walk but good for the legs, body and soul. Pure blue patches of water, tall trees and the sound of cicadas. Refreshing and healing

Crystal clear water feeding a river, not just a stream. Amazing to see how much water is bubbling out of the ground. The surrounding redwoods are quite nice as well, although only about 100 years old are not quite as majestic as those in California

This is such a beautiful walk along a crystal clear stream to the spring which is the source of the water flowing into Lake Rotorua. You pass through native bush, a mini grove of giant redwoods and see the 'bridal springs' as well as plenty of trout. Take a picnic and allow about an hour and a half. The scenery... More

The Redwood trees are amazing, felt like Alice in Wonderland as they are so big. The water is crystal clear and amazing colours. The dancing sand is amazing to watch as well. Definitely worth a visit.

When we arrived, we purchased duck food and headed over to the start of the walk. The water is crystal clear and the ducks, swans and geese welcomed us with great delight. The walk took us past beautiful views of the springs and through large Redwood pine trees. We saw many other native birds throughout. There was also no cost... More
