About
We run tours to the Sliabh Liag Cliffs, the highest sea cliffs in Europe standing 600m (1972 feet ). We operate from April to October, and sometimes earlier or later if weather is ok. With our 2 boats we can carry 24 passengers. The tour lasts about one and a half hours, and we take in many wonderful sights.Sometimes we are joined by wild life, like dolphins, whales, seals, and in May and June we often see basking sharks feeding on the plankton.Guests can go for a swim in the clear waters near Sliabh Liag we can supply wetsuits if you think the water is cold most don't need them. Some people are lucky enough to be joined by dolphins. Sailing Times 10am 12noon 2pm 4pm 6pm and 8 am/pm if needed. Although I don't answer all reviews I appreciate the feedback . I only answer reviews that I feel do not reflect the tour and will try to correct anything negative that crops up. We are a small operation and I run it to the best of my ability. So don't be upset if I don't reply. Thank you Paddy

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A stunning trip with magnificent views, great insights from Paddy, plus an opportunity to swim off the boat. Worth every penny.
Tip: book after you’ve checked the weather forecast. Thankfully we did.

Hi Brucemariam I am sorry to have disappointed you. I remember the two photographers well in fact they are friends of mine who were do a bit of promotion for a local business. I don't remember taking very much time with them and I do recall leaving in good time. As for being rude and bad tempered I cannot remember that but I do apologise for it, I have off days as well as everyone else. I don't ever mean to be rude and am rarely bad tempered on the boat unless something caused it Paddy

Most people visiting Sliabh Liag will go to the viewing point. Maybe walk a little higher up the cliff. And that's well worth doing.

But if you want a different view of the cliffs, then the boat tour is worth going on. It's quite difficult to get the scale of the cliffs from above, but seeing it from below and seeing the cliffs tower over the boat or the dots that are people above, you'll appreciate the scale.

Reasonably priced, and using 12-person boats, so you're never fighting for a good view, if you have the time then I recommend it as well as the viewing platform.

What a class day we had! Super friendly welcome but serious and safe at the same time! Paddy and his team were super accommodating for us 9: 4 adults and 5 kids including a toddler.
The scenery was spectacular and the craic was good! Highly recommend.

We had an incredible experience with Sliab Laig Boat Tours! The boat trip from Teelin was simply breathtaking, with the sun shining brightly and dolphins gracefully accompanying us along the way.

The sailor's ( Kevin’s ) enthusiasm and sense of fun made the journey even more enjoyable.
We were taken to several places near the shore to take astonishing photos and listen to short stories from Kevin.
This adventure provided us with amazing memories that we will cherish for years to come, and I can't wait to share this unforgettable experience with friends and family. 😜
Highly recommended!

Can't recommend this trip enough. Punctual departure, friendly staff, interesting info and stories as we stopped along the way, absolutely loved jumping in for a quick swim, great views. Family ranged from 8-69 and we all had a great time. Toilet facilities at harbour just FYI.

Amazing experience, Paddy is a fantastic captain and guide of the area. We took a trip out the boat and along Sliabh league coastline.
As this is a weather dependent experience we even received an email 24 prior to sailing as the weather had turned advising of last minute possible cancellation which was great service.
The cost and duration are very reasonable. Would highly recommend

Fantastic boat tour. Paddy was engaging and great craic. The cliffs were spectacular, and the weather was miraculously dry!! The boat isn't covered, so dry weather is a must! Highly recommend this boat tour. Advisable to book online. Luckily, we had, but a few people hadn't, and instead of overcrowding the boats, Paddy said sorry no can do. This impressed us as it's very clear Paddy cares about health and safety too!! A very brave family went swimming in the cove, where we anchored, and Paddy took this as a chance to chat to all the other passengers.
