Children's author Hans Christian Andersen, known as H.C. in Denmark, has been immortalized next to Copenhagen's City Hall. He's holding a book and cane and has a well-worn lap from all the children (of all ages) who have sat on his knees.

There’s several HC Andersen statues situated throughout the city, but if you’re near Tivoli or City Hall you really can’t miss this one.

Nice statue near City Hall, great spot to grab a photo. Otherwise nothing special. A short walk from the dragon fountain.

There’s not much more one can say about this statue. It’s a nice statue in a busy square and is not somewhere you need to go out of the way to visit.

The statue is right out in the open. There was construction going on while we were there, so this was a little difficult to get to.
