From what you can read localy the bridge didn't had that much of "bringing-together-effect" as hoped upfront from politicans. But for me as a tourist driving over it is still very impressive. Even more if you can spot it from the city centre of Copenhagen!

Beautiful bridge and a fantastic engineering achievement. You don't see too much of it when crossing by train. You do, however, get a great view from the beach at Malmo.

How do you review a bridge? It is a large bridge spanning a body of water and attached to land on either end. So right there, it succeeded in being a bridge. Does it attach BETTER to the land on either side than other bridges or does it span water BETTER? Hard to say what the yardstick for that is.... More

The Oresund brigde connects Denmark and Sweeden (Copenhagen to Malmø). The bridge is also famous from the Dansih/Sweedish tv-series "Broen" and has become a "must-see" for many turists. You can by a return train ticket from the central station (Copenhagen-Malmø). You can also take the subway to the airport station, and walk to the beach (5 min) and watch it... More

Apparently you need to drive or take the bus between Denmark and Sweden if you want great views of this beautiful bridge. We had lovely views of the water from the train, but because it travels on rails below the bridge, we never really saw it. But, hey, it got us where we needed to go quickly and easily.

Today I cross over this bridge from Denmark to Sweden. It is nicely over seas between two Scandinavia countries, and you can see a lot of wind mills at center of bridge. Sea side view is also very nice.

We went across this remarkable bridge between Denmark and Sweden on the train, and was amazed at the size of the bridge. Once in Sweden, Malmo is not to exciting. but the crossing made up for that !
