Beautiful Church

When visiting Tallinn this is absolutely a must see. Just on the edge of the old town, easy accessible and definately worth a visit. No photography allowed inside..

Want to see a bit of Russia but can't get a visa to do so? This church is straight out of Russian architecture. Its right past the dome cathedral so make sure you're looking up as you walk or you'll miss it.

Compared t all the other churches around this has the very different orthodox style and architecture and thus stands out as a big contrast. Never the less the golden domes stand out and if you catch them on a sunny day they will really shine bright.

I was so mesmerized by those golden onion domes such that when I took a picture of them, I didn't notice that the couple beside me who also seemed to be taking pictures of the domes were actually stealing my wallet! I noticed them over at the nearby Marble Church and they must have followed me. It was only when... More

The only Russian Orthodox church in the city was built in 1883 and dedicated to the Russian patron saint Alexander Nevsky, which statue stands in a niche above the church bells. It is located very close to the Marble Church and well worth the visit.

This Russian Orthodox church is only a few yards away from the Marble Church. The façade is dominated by three gilded onion domes and lovely diaper brickwork. Unfortunately, it was closed when we visited.

Another display of how an Orthodox Church should be with its history and how it was made, very easy to find while strolling the city with It's tower in a distance could possibly notice by everyone.

On the way to marble church, this original church will make you wonder if you still in Denmark or if you moved to Russia. Very nice and incredibly interesting!

Beautifully adorned with icons, this very active and popular church enchants with its shiny golden domes and an inviting interior. Please be aware of the liturgies, baptisms, or other services that might take place at any time.

The church is in city centre, very close to Frederiks Kirke (the more famous Marble Church), but as it is on upper floors, you may miss it even when passing by. It has a most beautiful golden dome on the top of the building. So just look into the sky for the dome when you are near the Marble Church.... More
