Copenhagen Free Walking Tours invites you to join our 3 different Free Walking Tours through the heart of Copenhagen. We suggest starting with our Grand Tour of Copenhagen, taking in the famous city landmarks like Christiansborg Palace, Nyhavn and Amalienborg Palace while we discuss history, culture, people, food and so much more on an easy 3 hour walk through the city center of Copenhagen. This tour starts everyday at 10 am, 11am and 3pm* from the steps of the Town Hall (Radhuspladsen). Just keep your eyes peeled for the smiliest guides in town, wearing green name badges and holding bright neon green umbrellas. You can't miss us!

Join us in Spanish at 11am or 3pm everyday at the steps of the Town Hall!

We also have two alternative tours - the Christianshavn Tour, and the Classical Tour. Both tours run for 90 minutes and see distinct neighbourhoods in Copenhagen that we do not cover on the Grand Tour.

We also work closely with Pub Crawl Copenhagen! Come and drink with us!

Please check out our website for seasonal start times, and locations. Booking in advance is not required but very much appreciated.

Took the Grand Tour of Copenhagen and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our talkative and funny guide Jared (OMG how fast this guys talks) enlightened not only about the history and sights in the city but also about the Danish culture, language and customs. Highly recomended!!!

A must for any first time visitor. We reserved and join the tour on our first morning. Certainly popular but they had multiple guides. We had Jarrod and he was awesome. I am sure the other guides are great, but for my wife and I, we really enjoyed his enthusiasm and sarcasm. He was informative and knowledgeable. We first did... More

I was in town for 3 days and went on the Grand Tour of Copenhagen on my first day, it was very good, one of my favorite things I did there. All of the staff was very friendly but our guide Dan O. was specially great, very knowledgeable, friendly and funny. I didn't know what to expect of the three... More

Me and my sisters went on the walking tour on our first day in Copenhagen and it was an great way to orientate ourselves and find our way round the city! Our guide Rodger was super funny and witty, and taught us about the culture and history of Copenhagen, which was incredibly interesting! Definitely go on the walking tour while... More

I came to Copenhagen for a weekend from my study abroad program with a few of my friends. We only had one full day in Copenhagen and we chose to take the classical tour and the christianshavn tour. Both were very informative and packed full of sights but the classical tour with Dan O. was one of the highlights of... More

My friend and I travelled to Copenhagen for a long weekend and decided to do the Grand Tour 3-hour walking tour. Our guide Dan O was fantastic - very knowledgable and personable! The tour took us past all all the main sights and helped us plan our itinerary for what we want to go back and see more of the... More

I dod 2 tours in a day - Tour of Christianshavn and Grand Tour of Copenhagen. Both were good but especially the second one - a lot of interesting information about city in a interesting and attractive format. I was afraid that it will be just a generally known facts but instead of that I got a 2,5 hours stories... More

We did the three tours (city tour, classical tour, and Christianshavn) with this Company and were lucky enough to get Jarrod all three times! We accidentally joined a tour for a different Company and the comparison between the two was unbelievable. I would definitely recommend doing all of your tours with this Company. Also, try and get Jarrod as you... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
