Spent a couple of hours in this interesting museum housed in an old police station, the only one of its kind in Denmark. It presents the history of the Danish police and offers an insight into a number of crime cases and mysteries. All displays are in Danish but the helpful guy at the ticket desk lent us a book... I realy love this place. Very cosy and interesting, if you like history. Around 1½ hour with the history about the Danish police, as the normal part of the exhibition, they normaly have an extra exhibition on the top level. A little remark for you with children, there is some part there is not suitable for children, but the museum... More

Not a normal museum - criminal cases and historical development from local watchmen to professional police force is neatly presented at limited space in this little museeum. Presently a special exibit about the German underground terror group the werewolves during World War 2 in Denmark is presented.

You could easily miss this attraction in Copenhagen, because it receives little publicity - we only found out about it because it is located near our accommodation, which was a 15 - 20 minute walk from the CBD. Our visit to this museum turned out to be one of the highlights of our stay in Copenhagen. The museum is located... More

Ended up spending more time than anticipated at this museum. There are many pictures, films and original artifacts, not to mention stories of criminal cases. There are even sections on mideivil torture devices and methods which was rather unsettling. Great place to go visit on a rainy afternoon! Entrance fee is 40 DKK which is very cheap. Expect to spend... More

Staying in Inner Noerrebro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Noerrebro
Located just north of The Lakes, this neighbourhood is a melting pot of small quirky clothing stores, dozens of pizzerias and eateries of all types, a street almost entirely devoted to antiques, several microbreweries and even a couple of Michelin starred restaurants. Here you’ll also find Assistens Cemetery which is an ecclectic mix of tombstones as well as a recreational park and where you will find the tombstones of famous Danes, such as writer Hans Christian Anderson and physicist Niels Bohr. Inner Noerrebro is also home to one af the most popular theatres in Copenhagen, called Noerrebro Theatre. It shows both popular musicals and plays, as well as productions of a more experimental nature.
