Visited this lovely zoo on the edge of Copenhagen. It's got a really good layout and good collection of animals in thoughtful settings. We went on a really rainy day in Feb 2017 and the zoo has a good mix of alternating indoors and outdoors stuff which keeps giving the opportunity to not get too cold. Particular highlights include Tigers,... More

I used almost 4-5 hours to see everything. And I love it. Just remember that if it's a cold day, it might be windy and you feel even more cold than it really is.

We went with two small children aged 4. We saw skeletons of whales, and all sorts. We also watched a movie of a stranded whale that massively impressed the kids. In a room there were loads of skeletons of plastic to play with from different animals. It was great The only negative part of the visit was the cafe selling... More

Super cool place on a rainy day or etc. Indoors activities. My kid liked it so much that he didn't want to leave the place 😆. we spent three all day to see and to try everything. The best thing was that the kids are welcome to touch the expositions. There were also some extra activities besides that, like drawing... More

We enjoyed that visit very much. The museum is not in city centre so we had to take two busses to get there. Metro doesnt go there as well. It is part of university. Interactive exhibition with lots to touch and do exhibitions. Not only our daughter liked that but we also. Recommed to everyone.

Visit with kids all ages. Cheap to get in. Unusual stuff like a whale's heart and skeleton. Beautifully arranged. Skulls. Jaws with teeth. You can touch most things. Not busy. Well worth a visit if it is raining.

Went here to gather some inspiration for a written project at university, great place for all ages to learn new interesting stuff about the living world that surround us now, and what used to be around us.

At the Zoological Museum, the research, teaching and exhibitions are dedicated to the documentation of animal life on Earth, its origin and diversification. There is more than 10 million specimens in the collection.

Great way to spend the morning at the wonderful exhibition of precious things. Lots of things to touch and explore rather than hidden behind glass. Great descriptions and a wonderful insight into the history of the collections. Lots of interactive films. Places to sit and ponder.

Staying in Inner Noerrebro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Noerrebro
Located just north of The Lakes, this neighbourhood is a melting pot of small quirky clothing stores, dozens of pizzerias and eateries of all types, a street almost entirely devoted to antiques, several microbreweries and even a couple of Michelin starred restaurants. Here you’ll also find Assistens Cemetery which is an ecclectic mix of tombstones as well as a recreational park and where you will find the tombstones of famous Danes, such as writer Hans Christian Anderson and physicist Niels Bohr. Inner Noerrebro is also home to one af the most popular theatres in Copenhagen, called Noerrebro Theatre. It shows both popular musicals and plays, as well as productions of a more experimental nature.
