We walked for an hour trying to find this place (more due to our bad map reading skills than it's location). When we eventually found it, we wished we hadn't! Thankfully, it was free with our Copenhagen Card as I'd have been hugely disappointed if I'd forked out money for it. We were literally in and out in 15 minutes.... More

An okay way to spend a quick half hour but if we had paid separately to go in, I think we may have been a bit disappointed. Mainly his stories with a few animated figures. Younger children may enjoy the stories. We had heard them so it wasn't new. Attached to Ripley s.

Cute if your have a spare 20 minutes and a Copenhagen card, not worth paying an entry fee though. Walk through some dioramas of his works and hear stories narrated, as well as a brief history of himself. Would be great for children who have to patience to listen to the whole thing. Narrated in English,Danish or German.

Couldn't go to Copenhagen without visiting the patisserie here. Wow where to start, could easily have walked out with a handful of goodies but we restricted ourselves to one each

I'm so glad I followed my intuition and visited this place instead of following what others say on this site....I loved HC Andersen's fairytales since I was a kid so when I found out about this place i new I had to check it out . It brought back so many memories . Thank you!!! After a visit I went... More

I didn't want to visit but it came free with the Copenhagen card, and it's not too far from the hotel. So we dropped by . I wasn't disappointed . It's a small place but it reminds me of all the various HC Anderson's stories again. The displays are pretty well done and you get to have the story told.... More

In this lovely shop there is a very expensive beautifully illustrated book of HCA tales. It is available in many languages. The ENGLISH version has been very poorly edited. There are so many mistakes (typographical, grammatical, and syntactical), I could not read it aloud as written. I have written to the shop twice and received no response. There was no... More

there is nothing remotely fairy tale about this place, it is in the same building as ripleys believe it or not. We were in and out of the place in literally 5 minutes. 180 DKK down the drain in my opinion. It was boring, dated, and a waste of time and money.

I loved H,C Andersen's stories and this museum brought some of them to life. Each scene depicted one of his stories and could be read from a card or listened to by pressing a button and the scene lit up/animated as the story unfolded. At the end were some of his books, writings, and a portrait. In the lobby sat... More
