This was a wonderful introduction to the city and to the warmth of the Danish people. Maria was a terrific and engaging guide as she lead us through the city from the Food Hall to a local craft brewery to a 125 year old candy store. She wove in history, family stories and humor throughout the tour. The Smorbrod restaurant... More

Amazing food your with Rosemarie - and a really small group of only 4 in the group. We had really good places and our guide gave some extra tips for later, after the tour. Definitely worth it!

My big disappointment was the speed we had to eat and taste the food to keep up with the rhythm of our guide (I think it was Maria). She constantly pushed us in our back so that we would finish the fastest for the next stop. As an example on a group of 11 people, we were 5 people who... More

It is compact but full of fun and delicious food, with a history of Copenhagen. The guide is knowledgeable and entertaining, and I communicated with other participants to share the joy. There were several solo participants, so you do not need to worry. Everything I had was super delicious, and as first time traveller to Copenhagen, it was a good... More

We booked onto the 4 hour Culinary experience tour, it ended up being a private tour for me and hubby as we were the only ones booked on! You start in the market halls with cheese and licorice - and a little something to warm you up! There's about 4km walking throughout the tour, but you do stop at several... More

Food tours whilst travelling are the closest thing to staying with friends and getting a locals take on where to eat, what to eat and what to take home with you. Maria did an excellent job of making our group feel welcome and informed about what we where eating and why it mattered. It is wonderful to know that Copenhagen... More

The food tour starts out in the covered markets near Nørreport station, we got there a bit early to explore the food halls (and thought the tour started at 10:00AM instead of 10:30AM). We met the tour outside, and then proceeded to have some amazing food through the whole tour. It was a cold day and we did end up... More

The food, history and culture - Rosemary took us on such a memorable tour and I enjoyed every minute of it. We should have joined the tour on the first or second day instead of last of our visit of the city therefore we may go back to explore a few places of interest.

My husband and I always do some type of food tour in every place we visit during our holidays. I would highly recommend this food your, you receive a lot of different tasting that you don't go away hungry and it a great way to get a sense of Copenhagen's food sense.

This was our second visit to Copenhagen and we decided to book a food tour as opposed to a regular sightseeing tour. Maria was a great guide and very funny. The food was yummy, in particular the smørrebrød (make sure you only have a light breakfast that day). We particularly enjoyed the candy shop towards the end - seize the... More

Staying in Indre By (Inner City)

Neighbourhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
