Great view

The view off the top in amazing. There are a few steps to get there, and for the last part the bannister is lower than expected but really worth the adrenaline.

It was a little walk away but for those with an interest in Religious Architecture worth the journey especially if you visit another church while you are here.

This is a lovely building with a stunning spiral church spire. Coloured black and gold, it really stands out in the skyline.

Climbed about 400 steps (about half in side and half outside) and reached the top of the tower of the Church. Can see almost the whole city of Copenhagen, including ships at port. The ticket price was 40 Denmark kr.

We took the bus to see this attraction and from outside the spire is stunning. The tower was closed to visitors (we travelled in February mid week) when we visited. The internal of the church is well worth a visit. What was great to see was a party of school children running around, playing the organ and just embracing religion... More

It was a long walk up but the view at the end was worth it as it looks down at Copenhagen. Had great pictures and a bit scary when you get to the top. There wasn't much room right at the top as people take turns to right up.

A must if in Copenhagen but not for the faint hearted or those not great with heights. The reward is the view from the top

The church was open. It has similar and particular features that other similar church, the tower wasn't open but it looks very well kept for tourist to see.

This place is really nice for concerts (look out for dates on their website) and has been recently restored. Very beautiful decoration inside, and the statues of elephants make it a bit unique.

Staying in Christianshavn

Neighbourhood Profile
Christianshavn
Just across one of the many bridges from Indre By, you’ll find Christianshavn. An eclectic area with old brick lanes, houses dating back to the 16th century, and canals which are home to many boats and ships, some of which has been turned into restaurants or even serve as fully furnished homes. The best known attraction in Chistianshavn is Christiania, a “free town” of residents who squat on a former military area. However just a stone’s throw away from Christiania, you’ll find some of the most fashionable waterfront apartment buildings in Copenhagen as well as the splendid Royal Opera House.
