Radhuspladsen is the mean square of Copenhagen, which is surrounded by very important buildings of the city like Radhus (Town Hall), Tivoli (one of the oldest amusements parks in Europe) or some hotels and other museums. Also here begin probably the most important pedestrian and shopping area of the city. A place, which you visit sure if you come to... More

It was pretty scary. Fireworks flew all over the place and we got one at our feet. Place was really crowded, but the atmosphere was joyfull and the fireworks looked amazing!

Of course, that the main sight of the square is the City Hall. First we noticed the gilded statue of Absalon just above the front door. Next, we had a chance to explore the interior of Rådhus. And even looked at the wedding hall. Definitely recommend to visit.

My wife and I stayed across the street at the Scandic Hotel. This is a very busy area and square. City Hall and Hans Christian Andersen Statue is there also. Bike people control the streets. Watch out that they do not run you over. Take your pictures and move on.

This plaza is of interest but not of great interest. The buildings that line the plaza are commercial as well as the town hall.

Nice place to observe and an obligatory point while moving from Tivoli to Stroeget. In Sep.2016 there were some metro construction works.

This is the Town Hall Square and is the major square in Copenhagen. The City Hall occupies one side of it, but a large portion is under construction. Everything is going on here. Tours meet in this area, buses stop here, and it is a good place to people watch. Will be much nicer when the construction is done.

This is the center of downtown Copenhagen. Tour the city hall. Catch all of the buses from here. Sit on the lap of the huge Hans Christian Andersen bronze statue. Great architecture and people watching. Get a sausage from the Polsevogn for a cheap lunch. OK place to sit with a beer.

Amazing carvings, mosaics and paintings in this working city hall. This is a beautiful space. A little prior study would help understand all the symbolic artwork in is building.
