Currently a massive construction site .. but you can still see the beautiful buildings all around the square. Still worth a minute on your way to Nyhaven.

There's not much to see. Hoarding, cement trucks. It's under construction at the moment, but a tip for potential visitors - don't eat at the cafe. Not only is it very unappealing visually, it's also incredibly expensive!

Just walking down by the Stroeget street, from the H.C.Andersen Boulevard and the Copenhagen City Hall Square, we got after a certain time to the Copenhagen King's Square. Its name in danish is Kongens Nytorv and is a central old square, with paved cobblestones dating...More

Copenhagen is currently renovating much of Kongens Nytorv and so there is cladding around the outside. To make it more attractive and accessible, windows have been put in to view the works, murals have been painted and other interactive features (such as a spinner to suggest...More

This is a noisy construction site at the moment due to the new metro extension - will be done by 2019. There is no point visiting to see the square but you will inevitably come across this area when you visit attractions such as Nyhavn...More

Summer time is the best time to visit this area. There's a flea market in the square. There's a big (quite expensive) shopping center nearby

Just cruising around Copenhagen checking the sights. Went through square. Nice architecture and great places to get some food. Right next to the canals and other sights.

This is one of the finest squares in Europe but you won't see much of it at the moment as they're building a new metro station in/under it which is not due for completion until 2019 (I think - might be earlier). Probably best to...More

This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its
blend of charming old buildings and bold new
architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well
as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner
city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which
consists of three buildings, two of which are new and
situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and
