Amasing place for children and adults! Quite many animals that are ready to meet visitors even in winter! Polar bear & red panda - must see!

Quite a good little zoo with a good variety of animals and the ability to get really close to them. I particularly enjoyed the tigers as there is a glass panel and they were sleeping inches away. The only negative from my trip is that I visited when the main attraction (the polar bears) were moved to another zoo and... More

The zoo was amazing, worth the visit, specially for the families, the animals were active and the staff was very friendly and they feed the animals in almost every hour

Very easy to get to on public transport and well worth the visit. The animals are all very close up and there is a large variety of animals including some of the rarer ones such as elephants, polar bears and tigers. There is currently a tiger cub there who is adorable! I could have sat and watched him play for... More

We went to visit solely because of the polar bear. They have invested in the Arctic enclosure and it was impressive with views from below and above the water. The polar bear was spectacular. It hurts to see such a spendic creature in captivity but the experience for our children was an important one and it helps them better understand... More

My family and I went in December. The animals are all so close it is like you can touch them (compared to zoos in the States). They gave the kids Santa hats to wear around the park...nice touch of Christmas spirit! It wasn't busy so we were able to see all of the animals. Clean and very easy to get... More

This zoo is very expensive. Not too great if you dont speak the language either, although there is some english at the exibits the feeding time naratives are,Im guessing Danish. Possibly a nicer visit for children as they seemed to be catered for quite well. You do get quite close to the animals but the enclosures are drab and small and... More

We went to the Zoo as we had a couple of hours in the afternoon spare. With the Copenhagen Card you are able to get in free of charge. The zoo is a little out from the city, but easily accessible by bus. Although we didn't have alot of time in the zoo, what we did see was very interesting... More

The zoo is quite expensive and nothing special to see except for the polar bears. However I have visited San Diego zoo so nothing seems to compare to it. Nonetheless, is a good place to spend it with the family if you have small kids. Bring your own drinks and lunch because you might get hungry.

Staying in Frederiksberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Frederiksberg
Located between Noerrebro and Vesterbro you’ll find Frederiksberg, which is actually a municipality in itself but completely surrounded by Copenhagen. Here there are several fine theaters, from the experimental to the great Det Ny Teater (The New Theater) which specializes in transcribing the great London and New York musicals into Danish, and has done so for several years with huge success. In Frederiksberg you’ll find Denmark’s most beautiful (and expensive) city villas. These 4-5 square miles form the Beverly Hills of Copenhagen. Here you’ll also find Frederiksberg Have (Garden) which sports huge outdoor concerts, from classical to electronic dance music. To top it off, dining options range from cozy family restaurants to some of the area’s most trendy cafés.
