A beautiful place with a vast history Copenhagen, one of my favorite cities in Europe. With a delightful Scandinavian atmosphere, the museum is excellent and should be «must visit place» in Copenhagen. It is located near the station, the entrance is free, which is nice...More

This museum is full of story of Copenhagen since the time of city gates and walls. Some interesting stories include the things they found underground while digging for the metro-line, which tell you a lot about the old time. You can also find the story...More

I wasn't able to actually go inside since I visited during Christmas. The museum is located in the center of Vesterbro near the planetarium and Copenhagen train station.

This museum looks at the idea of the identity of the city and what it means to be a "Copenhagener" in the past, present, and looking towards the future. The exhibits are carefully constructed to look at this identity, and although the themes are somewhat...More

The exhibits when we visited were about as local as you could get. It all felt a little patched together but I think in some way that is the idea, showing how Copenhagen has been patched together through the centuries with waves of immigration, prejudice,...More

An interesting old three story house. The first two stories are filled with exhibits telling some of the history of Copenhagen. Certainly a "minor" museum, but the price was right (free). I would not include it on a one or two day Copenhagen stay, but...More

Free, 4 floors, excellent layout, everything in English, the best moderate sized museum I have ever visited (excludes the Museum of National History in Washington DC for example which is a large museum) . Since we were in Copenhagen for a week we toured 2...More

The museum has very interesting subjects about Copenhagen. A good way to know more about this beautiful city. My kids loved the place, on the top of the building there is a big room with lego's toys in order to create a city with imagination....More

This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world
famous amusement park and beautiful garden always
worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find
Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach
just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours,
or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15
minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the
middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and
