Wonderful presentation of breathtaking Islamic art in it's many forms. Beautifully presented european furniture on the lower floors. The interior of the building is wondrous, lovely staff, free admission... don't miss this.

This started as a privat collection and is now very big. The owner died and what was formerly his home is now a museum. Mostly ancient middeleastern "art" and history. But the museum also holds a collection of the Famous Danish Painter Hammershøj, and to...More

Though you may get overwhelmed at the sheer number of pieces in the David Collection, I still recommend visiting this exceptional museum. So many beautiful things, from textiles to tiles, and the information boards explaining the history of Islam were very well done. Shockingly, this...More

Clearly, a great deal of money has been spend on making this a fantastic exhibition. Free entry but engaging for hours, it takes you through the different ages of the Islamic world and explains them using clear maps and explanations. The art is varied and...More

Davids Samling (The David Collection) is the best collection of Islamic art in Northern Europe. It contains ceramics, metalwork, glassware, textiles and not least a large number of wonderful miniature paintings stemming from various illuminated manuscripts. The David Collection was a beautiful and fascinating place to visit. The Egypt section was particularly impressive.
