Beautiful!

The place was great and just enough places to go when you are pushing a stroller. Not too big so you can go in ll the places for one day.

Built about 100 years ago these are pleasure gardens right in the middle of the city. There are many many restaurants to choose from and we weren't disappointed. For entertainment we just watched the young folk on the rides. No temptation to join them. Well worth a visit.

We visited just after Christmas and the illuminations were absolutely stunning. I'd wear comfy shoes as you will walk a lot while exploring. There are a variety of restaurants and small shops. During this period there was also a fireworks display every night at 10 which was very well done.

Fun, colourful, vibrant but really it is quite tacky. Don't expect to find quality danish gifts or food (unless you go to one of the restaurants on the perimeter).

Excellent. Must see. Walt Disney saw it and modeled Disneyland after it. Lots of different things to see. Pagoda. Landscaping is excellent. Stage that had a dance contest two days in a row. Ate chicken scallopini at the German restaurant. Lots of people watching too. Had licorice ice cream there.

Take a walk though the garden at Christmastime and you will enjoy all the great decoration and light - a very special place to visit.

In the heart of this beating capital city, lies the Tivoli gardens, suitable for everyone and anyone. Stroll around while lapping up the beauty, take a typical Danish dish at any of the many cafes, restaurants, or let your hair down on the fun rides. Pleasurable sights and sounds, enjoyment and memorable experiences. Simply a 'must do' thing! If your... More

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
