Beautiful especially at this time of the year

Very busy, don't bother with the cafes and restaurants, instead, savour the lights, the rides and the charm of this iconic Copenhagen tradition.

We visited the Tivoli Christmas gardens and market on a Saturday evening and it was so overcrowded! The light displays were very impressive, especially around the lake, the market was okay, but no better than others around Copenhagen. However, the sheer volume of people made the visit disappointing. I would also take up the packages including ride passes as single... More

Did not go any of the rides but it is well worth the visit to see the Xmas decorations. A must see if you are there at Xmas.

We weren't all that excited to visit Tivoli but it ended up being the best part of the trip! I'd strongly recommend going at night as the lights are beautiful! As it was December, the place was beautifully decorated with decorations and Christmas trees! There were plenty of Christmas market style shops and loads of places to eat. We got... More

Why the rides are not included in the entrance ticket?! :( It's a pity, the gardens are lovely, specially at night.

We visited this place over the festive period and I fell in love with it...the Christmas theme is amazing!! Felt like I was walking through a real winter wonderland, lots of Christmas stalls and shops and places to eat and drink. The decor was fabulous, nothing missed! I would definitely recommend going at this time of year! I had a... More

I was actually looking for a christmas market but ended up at Tivoli Gardens; The place is great, you can hang out hours there and will still explore new stuff. Recommend to take the 'unlimited rides ticket', pays-off pretty quick.

I was a little bit skeptical about paying to visit a garden theme park as they are normally not good value for Money. However this place was great and worth the views as well as the wrist band for the rides - half the price you'd pay in the UK. The fountain show was pretty and the Xmas lights set... More

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
