Thoroughly enjoyed this museum, even though neither my husband nor I are particularly interested in sport. The displays were terrific, with lots of good information that gave a good cultural perspective of the the development of the ancient Olympics.

The history on how this place got started BC was a truly amazing story. They endured a lot to be great historians. The stores and houses where they lived. Unbelievable! Wow! A must see in Greece. We went and bought things to take home.

This is a very small museum with some explanation of the original games. We REALLY enjoyed standing on the ancient field, and it was nice to learn what events came into the Olympics and when. It's included in the ticket to the original site, and a good stop if you have the time.

I especially enjoyed the displays of the various OLYMPIC TORCHES. Studying the progression of torch design and engineering was enjoyable. I love history and love the olympics so I did enjoy our time at the museum.

You cannot miss this museum if you visit Olympia. It is just amazing...inside and out. Wonderfully air-conditioned...thankfully as it was 105 degrees that day. This museum's exhibits offers a truly accurate and vivid explanation and history of the Ancient Olympics. Easy to navigate and not overwhelming as well as helpful docents...who really made the experience of taking in this museum... More

Beautiful museum, Lots of history and lots to see. Items are labeled in Greek and English. We were their early morning and off season. You could take your time and look at the displays and were able to hear the guide. i can see where, in season, it would be difficult to hear the guide and enjoy this museum.

We spent most of the morning at ancient Olympia and came to the museum in the afternoon. We had had an excellent guide at the site of the original games so the museum stop added a look at some artifacts that now had significance for us. Items are well labelled so a guide was not really necessary for an overview... More

If you go to ancient Olympia, you must also see the museum. The artifacts they have recovered are positively amazing.

Visited this place on a organised day trip whilst on holiday, this place is fantastic place to visit, it is on the main land of Greece, this is where the Greek people first held the Olympic games, they trained all their Atheletes here and consequently they still light the Olympic torch here to this day. Went to the museum first... More
