On the banks of the harbor is one of Thessaloniki's gems. Near the stature of Alexander the Great. Good views of the city and the surroundings

The view on Thessaloniki from the top terrasse at 40 meters is spectacular. The entrance fee is pretty cheap especially having in mind the historic value of the venue and great stories that can be seen or heard inside while walking up or down slightly slanted stairs. A must when in Thessaloniki!

The view from the top is very beautiful and the possibilities around the tower are endless. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Thessaloniki.

We were in Thessaloniki on 27 January and we walked all the Nikis avenue to come to the White Tower. It is the MUST the most known sightseeing of Thessaloniki. You should visit it whatever you would come to Thessaloniki.

The white tower used to be a relatively abandoned place in the 80's. People could just climb up the stairs and get the view of the city from up there. During the last decade or so it has been restored and is currently a really beautiful museum of the city's history and you still get the view of course. A... More

It's a true city landmark. It can be seen from across the port, from the sideroads and from the whole promenade.

Our visit to the historic White tower was a great family experience. The inside of the tower is full of ancient character and ambiance. The museum settings on each floor were educational and really interesting. While the view from the viewing platform at the top was superb looking 360 degrees over the sea, harbour, sea front and the city. I... More

The White Tower has a series of historical exhibitions (texts in Greek, Audio Guide available free of charge in multiple languages including English) along the circular walk up to the 33 m high tower, but the view from the top is the best, overshining the gold coins of the exhibition.

This old tower has been altered to one of the most beautiful museums. The White Tower, the landmark of Thessaloniki standing on the city's waterfront, was once the south-east tower of a large fortification. It is the best known castle of Greece and the symbol of Thessaloniki.
