Bookended by a cliff, you have to descend a steep flight of steps to reach this breathtaking beach boasting fine powdery sand and calm sapphire waters. There is a restaurant up top with staff on the beach ready to take your order and send your food and drinks down to you.
Porto Katsiki is best enjoyed before noon or in the evening, as multiple large tourist boats stop by in the afternoon. Bring an umbrella as the cliff, while magnificent, offers little in the way of shade. Stay out of the restricted areas as there is a risk of falling rocks.

This is an amazing beach . so wonderful colors . Deep blue . This is a diamond of Greece . Since you are in Lefkas this place is a must to visit

Amazing rock beach, turquoise blue water, and calm sea.
Don’t forget an umbrella as there is no shade, and water shoes are a good idea unless you have tough feet.
Bring a cooler with drinks and some food, otherwise you have to hike up the stairs every time.

Whenever we take someone to visit for the first time - their reaction is inevitably "Wow!" as they step out of the car and look over the beach from the car park. A magnificent beach which is best enjoyed early in the morning - arrive by 9-9.30 and leave by 11.30. This way you easily access a car park, have shade from the cliffs and avoid the large midday tourist boats. If you want a full day, then take an umbrella and sleep while the party boats are there.

A breathtakingly beautiful small gulf - about an hour’s drive from Vassiliki over a harrowing single track windy bendy mountainous road (speed limit is 20km!)!
But worth while!

2 bottles of Corona - 15 euros from the hut at the top of the steps. Won't be going back or recommending it. Plain rip off, seems like it is happening more in Greece than before.....

It is easily one of the most beautiful beaches in Lefkada Island. Of course during tourist season the parkings are expensive so I recommend leaving your car a couple of kms behind and walking the beautiful road down

Beautiful beach, great view, lovely blue water. If you go by car, the road can be bit dificult. From the parking lot you have to go down the stairs to reach the beach. There is a fee for parking. The beach is covered in small rocks, also rocks in the water, i would recomend water shoes. No sun beds, no umbrellas, no beach bar. You can order food form the menu that will be brought to you on the beach. The are small shops up the stairs where you can buy beach supplies, water, snaks, coffe etc.

The place is wow , i loved all:the water,the view.I liked that we could order food & drinks on the beach. We found easy a parking place. The road from Vasiliki to Porto Katsiki is very good(not a reason to drive like crazy )

Porto Katsiki was on my to do list for Nidri, but was too hard to get to. I.e. if you have access to a car or go on one of the bigger boat tours - you can get there, but not by the local buses of the island.
So this is not a review of the beach itself, just a heads-up for those planning to go there :)

Si arriva, ma solo per vedere la spiaggia e farsi il bagno, non c'è attracco come ad Egremni. La strada per Porto Katsiki è comunque una delle meno accidentate, il problema è casomai il parcheggio quando arrivi. Questo vale però per tutte le spiagge di Lefkada, affollate anche a settembre quando sono stato io. Se cerchi spiagge tranquille non è il posto giusto.

Η διαδρομή είναι ολόκληρη άσφαλτος!!! Θέλει προσοχή όμως κυρίως στο κατέβασμα προς τη παραλία καθώς έχει τρύπες σαν κρατήρες!!

Agios Nikitas to Porto Katsiki on a 2 wheeler(I am very comfortable to ride a 2 wheeler).
1. Are there petrol stations on the way?
2. Is it too windy that it becomes impossible to ride a bike?

It's a 30-kilometer trip to Porto Katsiki. I do not know how much your engine consumes, but 5-6 liters should get you back. It is an EKO gas station, 2 km from Agios Nikitas, near Kathisma Beach, but it did not look very good. My advice if you have to get full is to go back to Lefkada Town, there are lots of gas stations at good prices, the closest being a Shell gas station. Regarding the wind, I do not think it's going to make you trouble in the summer months. The route is wonderful but full of curves and in some portions it is narrow.
