We drove 45 minutes hoping to see the glorious views but unfortunately the national park at the top is closed due to a fire risk until 20/09/17. It would have been helpful to be made aware of the closure further down the road.

Mount Aenos national park is a stunning place to visit with incredible views across kefalonia and surround islands. A very peaceful place for a hike - recommended!

Hi, it is not far at all to walk from the car to the stunning viewpoint on the top. Parc the car and walk about 5 minutes. You can also stop on the way up or down and have a rest in the parc. Follow the sign on the way. For... More
