The volcano is definitely worth a visit as it is still active and it's interesting to see. The rest of the trip is a little pointless but it is nice to see the beautiful island and lovely views. The bus ride is scary and very close to the edge of the Cliffe so don't look down! It also doesn't help... More

Took a ferry then a coach trip to the volcano absolutely fantastic, once we arrived u took in the sulphur aroma which was not too strong to put you off, walked down the bank to the flat part off the volcano where u can see and hear it bubbling and see the steam coming off it as well, highly recommend this visit... Nice geological attraction - the main sight of the island. The best is to rent a car and to visit the volcano itself and also the museum in the near village.

We went on an excursion from our holiday stay in Kos to the island of Nisiros. Getting there takes an hours journey by boat. We booked the excursion with Tigaki-Tours in Kos and made a round trip on the island. Spectacular views from the village of Nikia down to the crater. There is also a wonderful small church on top... The fact that you can stand next to a volcano and see jets of steam coming out is amazing. When we went it was very quiet and well worth the 3 euros entrance fee.

This was my first visit to a vulcano crater and caldera. I'm not an expert in such things, nevertheless it was really impressive! I can recommend...

This place was amazing, boat trip takes about an 1hr. This was a wonderful part of Greece to see it in the original form. Think Mama Mia this is what Nisyros reminds you of. You are given a tour of the Island if with a guide (but you could do it on your own. ), you can choose to view... More

Long day but worth the trip. The volcano was amazing, walking down the crater was an experience not too be missed make sure you have good foot wear as the walk down is quite challenging. Smell of the sulphur was really strong. Defiantly worth visiting
