Hi! and thank You for your review. You most probably went to the "little Santa Maria" beach, whilst you should have come to the "big Santa Maria" which has a MASSIVE CAR PARK in front and is a long sandy beach with 2 beach bars,...More

This beach is a favorite of a local friend, so we hopped the bus out there and just loved it. European beaches are quite different than US beaches - beach chairs and umbrellas set up in neat lines...but we quite enjoyed it....and we also loved...More

Beautiful sand. Not very crowded; very scenic! Enjoyed it a lot! Next time, we plan to get there earlier as it is so peaceful.

We took a bus to get here and it is a long open beach. It was a bit windy but still a beautiful day. We even managed to do some snorkeling and the water was crystal clear and warm. Do try to visit you won't...More

A great beach but crammed full of umbrellas and sun-beds for hire. Obviously protection is essential from the sun, but it would have been nice to see some open sand area! The sea extends a long way out before one gets out of depth. No...More

Nice beach, poor facilities. The worst lunch we have had in one week in the islands. The fried seafood all well done to the point of burnt and fat. The showers are about 100m away from the beach and there are no changing cabins.

The beach is big enough for crowded type of beaches with decent spaces between the beds. There area one sea weeds by the shore though. Prices of beds were very reasonable 3 Eur per bed. There are water sports activities around there.

If you are a teenager looking for fun loud music and flirting go here but we prefer something more authentic and not to get a headache of the music. If you like the more authentic beaches with some calm atmosphere and good tavernas go to...More

Hello, Could you tell me if the beach bar / taverner you refer to is the one right in the back of the beach, up a few steps, covered terrasse with tables and was (might still be) operated by the owners of the pension next door? Thank you, Catherine
