Greek gods

Like India the ancient legacy is so rich and similar. Enjoyed the site and came back with a lot of Greek history.

Worth a look as part of a tour but not simply to see the statues. Hot days mean you are out in open, luckily lovely bars nearby for the afternoon 'shandy'

Wonderful little day trip to the Island of Delos. Amazing archaeological sites to be seen, that cove the entire island. Well worth the boat trip from Mykonos, which will cost you €19 return.

Ancient Greece of Apollo, to me it was a unbelievable place to be in a place that was revered as a place of the gods. We are talking about a sacred island of ancient times. The mosaics were fantastic, and the museum had many artifacts, sculptures, pottery relating to everyday life.

Very interesting, very well organised and a beautiful museum. A mini, less well preserved Pompei. The structure covering the archealogical site is very impressive and a stunning feat of modern engineering helping to preserve ancient engineering
