We have visited this village twice now and each time it was a lovely experience. After a delicious and substantial lunch at the tavern at the base of the hill, we wandered around the village enjoying the waterfalls and shady environment. The little church near the start of the village (a walk uphill on the LHS as you enter) is... More

We really love it here. Walked around the lower village which is very picturesque. Stopped for a frappe in the cafenion, lovely lady there. Went up to the waterfalls which are outstanding, then had a lovely lunch sitting outside under the trees. Was fascinated to see that they now have sturgeon as well as trout in tanks.

Nice landscape but very poor service at the restaurants! We went with two small children, 7 and 12 years old and the were really board. Weorder a beer and when we ordera soft drink the didn't bring any glass with it!

If you are passing by, definitely recommend to visit. There are 2 ways to stop at the central square and go down by foot (slippery stones at the start, but then nice shadows of trees keep you from the sun and water is following you on your way to tavernas))) After lunch you will have to go up to your... Taverna's roasting lamb over an open fire, the relaxing sound of waterfalls both inside and out, sit and relax. We went here on a trip with Davos Travel. At first I wasn't sure about this place but the smells and sounds soon had us drawn in. If like me you are not very mobile then being confronted by loads of... More

We visited here on the recommendation of a local where we were staying. It is a bit out in the middle of nowhere, but the car journey there took us off the national highway through the countryside, which we enjoyed. It was quiet when we visited, I don't know what it would be like in the high season. We wandered... More

Not far from Rethymnon and quite easy to find BUT BEWARE TRAFFIC - the site is approached down a narrow road that has cars parked on both sides and several hundred hungry locals/tourists trying to drive down with several hundred cars also trying to drive up. Not for the faint-hearted! Once there we had a good, excellent value meal with... More

Literally a small green oasis full of little waterfalls. Among them many taverns with traditional food and of course fresh trout. Worth visiting even with small children.

The place is nice, but the springs are not as nice as the pictures might make it appear. Still, I would recommend a visit.

When I was reading the reviews for this place I tough "they are all overreacting, this place can't be that awesome". But I was so wrong! It's really paradise and if you are near you simply need to drop by. There is a beautiful chapel near the tavernas and you must visit all of them beacuse each is unique.
