Surprised by this town - never judge a book by its cover - open it up and take a look. Offers new and old, cheap and expensive. A bit of everything for all ages

Great place to eat ,drink, shop or watch the world go by. Numerous restaurants from take away to cordon bleu. Nice bars to sit and chill , shops for everything you could want . Beautiful old harbour.

Every time we visit Crete we take one day for this town.Enjoying a plate of sea-food in the harbour, walking trough the small streets and lookin' for souvenirs.

This is a great spot to walk through and explore. It has every shop you could want selling trinkets from Greece and other parts of the world. The food and smells as you walk around are intoxicating. No plan required, just stroll through and see...More

We were here for one evening, and we enjoyed wandering through the town and along the seafront walkway. I look forward to returning.

The place itself has character with narrow streets and interesting buildings. From a shopping point of view it was bit disappointing as most of the shops seem to be selling the same thing but with the odd one selling hand made leather goods etc..

The old town is such a great place to visit with it's narrow lanes and wonderful shops, it's just nice to amble along and soak up the sun and smell the beautiful flowers outside the homes.

Tons of lanes and alleys full of shops and bars and tavernas. Very picturesque and with lovely harbour with more expensive restaurants on the edge. Market twice a week. Hotels and rooms to rent.

I think that this hotel is a good choice, if you do not care that the beach is near. I prefer hotels that are near the beach but also close to the city center. In any case, I recommend that in addition to spending time on... More
