If you are in to your war history it is well worth a visit. The views from the top are amazing. However, it is a bit of a walk and its up hill! Take some water and mosquito spray!

Not as close as the resort maps inferred but well worth the walk. Take some water!. Visited last September.

There is a exhibition at the base of the cemetery with British, German and Greek testimonies. Well kept grounds with good views.

A thought inducing place. Well tended grounds and very informative boards telling the story of the formation of the cemetery prepare you for the poignant vista further up the hill

We walked to the German War Cemetery as it is not far off the main road in Maleme. We were struck by the well tended graves and how many lost their lives in the 2nd World War.

It is part of the history of 2nd world war. It's easy access and you can admire the view of Maleme airport and the combat field.

This is a great place to visit, the main reception area has a display to tell you about the German landing in WW2 which is very interesting. The cemetery it self is brilliantly maintained and the view over looking the bay seems just a perfect place to lay the solders to rest with the big cross at the front. The... More
