The beach was very long and had good parking We visited in tge late afternoon and it was very windy. The choppy seas made it difficult for a swim but I would recommend this beach if staying in Heraklion

We walked here from our hotel the Blue Marine and had a little drink while looking at the lovely view. Reasonable priced drinks with an excellent location.

I visited Ammoudara for last time last March. The beach was quiet without chairs and loud music. You can find quiet places to swim only 5-10 minutes away from Heraklion all the time

i would suggest visiting another beach because this beach is always crowded and not that clean. Try another beach! Greece has more beautiful beaches than this!

Nice, clean water, lots of caffes, kind people, safe guards, sandy and a little bit windy. The waves are not too big. We had so much fun
