You need to read before a bit of mithology to understand better why Apollo temple is there and about the Oracle. It almost felt as we were in a church in open air. The ruins impose respect and in the same time gives you energy.

What a great view and history listen. Our family visited on a Tuesday during off season. Our kids range from 10 to 18 and we all enjoyed the walking self guided tour.

This ruin is in countless numbers of my photos! It's the heart of Delphi, where the Oracle gave her predictions and answers. Several columns still stand in the ruins, and the setting is gorgeous on a nice day.

If you travel widely across Greece, you'll come to realize that there is a Temple of Apollo in just about every ancient site. However, something about this Temple of Apollo and its special place in this ancient site makes it feel unique and highly atmospheric. You really feel part of history. It is only ruins but there is enough of... More

Walk thru the ruins to feel the attraction of the old times!! Only ruins left but you could feel the energy around that place. Temple of Apollo where the predictions were handed out by Phitia( the priestess) now is just few columns left....Great serenity on that mountain and ruins. Just a minimal hiking needed.Good to have a guide for this... More

This temple is in the Delphi ruins. We found the standing columns gave an inkling of what the whole temple must have been like in its grandeur. A magnificent historical ruin.

Wander through the ruins of Delphi to discover this temple. Take a tour guide with you to get the full story.

We loved this part of the ruins. It's a little hike to get there, but you don't have to go any higher than this point of you don't want to. If you're up for it, keep going to the theater and the stadium above, but even from the temple you get great views.

The Temple of Apollo is the center of the ruins at Delphi; it is where the famous oracle accepted visitors and gave vague responses to their questions. The temple foundations remain amidst other temples and treasuries of antiquity.
