We stayed a week at Sugar Ridge across from Jolly Harbor and often walked to the Valley Church Beach also known as the Nest (named after the restaurant there). Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for a modest fee. The restaurant is great for a light lunch and drinks. The beach is clean and safe. I occasionally hitchhiked from our... More

If you enjoy clean pure white soft sand - with a very mild surf to swim in - then this is the beach for you. If you like huge waves and a violent surf - then it isn't.

A very clean beach. It has a great parking area with mature trees which provide shade. On the beach the sand is beautiful and swimming is very safe.

Great sand, calm waters!! South side is very private and great for quiet time. North side has the Nest Beach Bar and is more crowded. Great day on the sand and water!

Second time to Jolly harbour and the experience decides on what side of the inlet you are one facing the beach the right is clean and wonderful the left has too much see weed that could easily be cleaned. But its still one of our favourite beaches and the food in the restaurant is good and well priced

Great beach but can be packed if the cruise ships are in! The sea is clear and water warm great to swim in for all ages. The beach has the best bar good for food and drink !

After visiting one beach on the island, we stopped at another beach to pick up some other families that were on the cruise with. This place is even more beautiful than our first stop and had villas mountainside. They also had a bar on site serving Carib beers.

This was easily my favorite beach in Antigua. The water was a beautiful blue and typical Caribbean calm seas. The sand was coarser than I was expecting though, but nothing to sway me from wanting to return there. The sand was more typical of what you would expect at a beach in the United States. There was a great bar... More

We were on a cruise in January. The taxi driver insisted on taking us to this beach. It was over a 30 minute ride from the port. When we got there, he noticed how crowded it was and found out there were absolutely NO beach chairs available. He tried another beach about 2 miles away and same thing! We never... More
