This was our 2nd trip to Antigua and Valley Church was our favorite to visit! Lots of hustle and bustle with cruise ships coming in....but quiet on the days there were no ships visiting -- perfect blend! Everyone was friendly and the water was crystal...More

I spent one of the top 20 days of my life here at Valley Church. The beach was quiet, the chairs and umbrellas were nice, the ocean was calm, and the beach was BEAUTIFUL. I spent the day here with my husband and two young...More

This beach was ok. Beautiful views, but there's mostly shells in the sand. You can't stay all day because the restaurant doesn't serve food to anyone except the taxi drivers that bring people to the beach. At least during the off season. Will go to...More

Actually the beaches seemed pretty interchangeable to me. It is the beach bar that gives each beach it's own vibe.

This tranquil beach is easily accessible on the Caribbean side of Antigua. Beautiful sea grapes provide shade, while the gentle waves continuously present caribbean shells to the shore. A sunset picnic at Valley Church Beach would end a perfect day in Antigua!

If you are on a cruise and looking for a cheap beach day, this is a great spot. Clean beach with minimal waves and chairs and umbrellas to rent. The beach bar is reasonably priced as well.

We went on a tour with our brilliant taxi driver Ocea and fell in love with this gem. We hired a car and returned as it is so beautiful. Would highly recommend a visit as its something out of a travel magazine .

We found our perfect beach this week. Great views, perfect safe sea for swimming and best of ll the nest beach bar. Apparently best avoided if the cruise ships are in town but that goes for most places.

Snorkling could be great once the tide is suitable...by which i mean low, otherwise it can be very cloudy and unsafe.
We will be taking a taxi fro the cruiseport to the beach. Are there taxis at the beach to take us back or do we have to call for one??

generally your taxi taking you out will want to bring you back. They seem very informal but are very reliable to turn up again afterwards. There will be lots of taxis ferrying people back and forth to the cruise ships!
Hello How much was the taxi from the cruise pier? Thank you
