Great place to learn and taste

One of the nicer places to taste. Helpful specialists and a great selection of wine and port from the region. They are not open late so go during the day.

My wife and I discovered this delightful wine bar specializing in port, both vintage and aged tawny. The owners serve chocolates and other accompaniments for the wine. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, and the owners are delighted to help with a selection for those who do not know port well. This is an excellent and convenient stop after lunch... More

Found this on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed. I would say it was more personal than the larger port houses. You can taste what you want and also add some cheese to add to the experience. I now drink my tawny port cold from the fridge just as it was presented to us. Beautiful. The staff are welcoming and... More

If you are looking for small but very quality brands of porto - you should definitely visit Vinologia-Portologia! Great options to taste, reasonable prices, very caring people working there :) I wish we could buy all the wines we were offered to try! Will never miss this place next time we travel to beloved Porto!

So much fun to stop in here for a post-dinner digestif. They carry a lot of small producers you won't find over at the larger spots in Gaia. Much more delicious than the dreck sold in the US. Don't be put off by its tourist zone location, this is a fun spot with a lot of interesting options (if anyone... More

I wanted to go to a place that wasn't too crowded or seemed like a busy tourist place but still had an authentic feel. The staff was kind and very knowledgeable on the different port wines. I got to sample a good variety and it came with a complimentary cheese plate. I really enjoyed it and left feeling that I... More

Although the idea is good - lots of open ports from small producers - we found the experience disappointing. The staff seemed disinterested and gave only very vague comments on the ports we purchased. The quality was also below that which we have experienced elsewhere and I felt that at least one had simply been open too long. Could be... More

This is not a restaurant but a port wine tasting. Great selection. Perfect location. A must do for Porto.

Nothing too special about it to me. A wine and port shop that you can taste at. Convenient location.
