We took a 4 day cruise up to the Spanish border, the scenery is stunning and lock gates interesting. Nice small towns on the way to sit and have a meal of glass local wine

...how beautiful is the landscape around Douro river. Take the train, drive a car, have a cruise and discover the vineyards, the people, the villages. We stayed by the river for a few days and tried to explore the area. Everything was excellent!

Hi Yes we did the trip end of the afternoon without any lunch. We got directly the tickets down to the pier in Villa Nova Gaia. It was very easy and convenient. Enjoy !
