A very nice park in the heart of Porto, with some amazing trees and very interesting modern sculptures. Great for a walk.

Pleasant Park With Interesting Art
May 2019 • Couples
This park is a pleasant area of green that was created in 1865 and features large mature trees and some interesting modern art of men on benches in various positions by the famous Spanish artist Juan Munoz. Worth a look.

Nice park
Oct 2018 • Couples
We walked across this park and had the time of our lives! It is just so lovely! The big trees are amazing. There is a lot of greenery, and a few other features, but the best attraction would have to be those sculptures of the men on the benches. Just beautiful. This amazing garden is in a great spot, opposite the Courts Building on one side, and the Clerigos tower, on another side. A lovely spot for relaxation.

Nice place for a stroll
Dec 2018 • Family
As others have said, this is a lovely park opposite Clerigos Church. The laughing men statues on the high benches are great. Definitely a good place to chill for a while.

Amusing men on benches sculptures
Sep 2018 • Couples
My wife and I came across this small park after having visited Antiga Cadeia da Relacao (the old prison) just across the road. It is also located near to Clerigos Tower. We thought that this would be a nice chill out spot for a time, and it was.
It is also known as Cordoaria's Garden.
One of the main attractions is undoubtedly the amusing men sculptures on the tiered benches. Mostly in groups of three, but see if you can spot the group of four! Amusing, good for a photo stop, or for that selfie!
The historic urban serene park also features a variety of trees and plants, statues, a pond, children's play area, and a bandstand. Be sure to take a look at the thickness of some of the tree trunks!
We both enjoyed our time at the small park, and would definitely recommend a visit.

Great place
Aug 2018 • Friends
A great place to chill during day and night. It's a spot for every occasion and by night it's full of people and with bars/pubs.

Selfie on a bench
Mar 2018 • Solo
Nice park very close to Porto university. Some lovely trees and nice pond but the main attraction is the men on a bench. Lots of selfies are taken here.

An attractive downtown city garden
Feb 2018 • Couples
The common name for this city garden is “Jardim da Cordoaria”. It was redesigned some years ago and, although at that time there were many dissonant opinions about what was being done to it, it turned out to be a beautiful “refurbishment“. The designed incorporated stone stairs are functional, as well as aesthetically very attractive! There is a group of sculptures layed out at the outer perimeter that are very appealing: they appear to be real people sitting or lingering about the garden, merging into it just like real people. There are a few older, classic stone or bronze sculptures that were kept as well, reminiscent of their time. In summer it provides shade and coolness to Porto’s downtown and really contributes to the city’s beauty. From this city garden one can see the famous “Clérigos” Tower, a very beautiful church eith a museum and an absolute must to visit!

Beautiful park with treasures
Oct 2017 • Solo
The park has trees from all over the world. Some are very unusual having survived diseases and stress. Look for the huge bases. The are sculptures of old men in threes sitting or hanging from bleachers. The men are happy, laughing, and amusing. The park is across from Clerigos Tower and a block from Livraria Letto. It is well worth a stroll in nice weather.

Pleasant find across the street from Centro Portugues de Fotografia
Sep 2015 • Couples
After visiting Centro Portugues de Fotografia, we found this park. We were amazed by what would seem to be quite ancient trees. Then, we found the bleacher sculptures. A pleasant respite, just as a park should be!
