Ricardo led us on a tailored tour of Porto our first day in the city, and it blew us away. It was probably our favorite thing we did in our week in Portugal. He is so knowledgeable and made the city come alive. We learned about the history of Porto but also about what it's like to live there today. It seems like Ricardo knows everyone --he kept running into people he knows on the streets!! We had such a blast with Ricardo -- I'd recommend a tour with him to anyone going to Porto.

Before leaving our home city of Seattle, we found Ricardo and City Tailors Of Porto ricardo@thecitytailors.com highly recommended by Rick Steves in his travel book on Portugal. Since it was to be our first visit to Porto, we were interested in a private custom introductory walking tour of the Old Town. Ricardo was the perfect tour guide for us. We are curious about history, architecture, local food, etc and he is a passionate teacher, wonderful storyteller, very well-informed and fun! He took us to one of his favorite coffee shops along the way and to a Porto cafe for a lunch of Porto specialties. We highly recommend Ricardo!!

We had a wonderful day in Porto with Ricardo as our guide. We took the comprehensive tour of Porto. Ricardo provides an in depth history and details about the city of Porto. He also makes the city easy to navigate. During the day we had an espresso/snack break, stop for wine tasting, and a large lunch all included in the price of the tour. Our day spent with Ricardo was a highlight of our trip to Portugal!

Ricardo Brochado is a great guide: well informed, lively personality, smart, energetic. He took me all over Porto, to the "must see" places like the train station with its tiles but also to sites people on group tours never get to see, that truly informed me about the city's history and its people. He recommended an excellent small seafood restaurant for the next day, i was the only non-local there. Having a personal guide makes all the difference in the world in getting to know a city.
