After you have seen hundreds of bronze statues they all begin to look alike - an important guy on a horse. Nothing special about this one unless you are a Spanish history buff.

I've never reviewed a statue before, and will probably never do so again. But....as statues go, it's quite an average one of our Dom on a horse. Worth a quick photo, but not more than a couple of minutes of 'ooing' and arring'. Lots more...More

Typical example of so many statues in cities around the world. Sorry Pedro, but despite your height and grandeur, there was nothing so remarkable as to pick you in front of statuesseen elsewhere.

Nice but nothing special. It is more interesting that he was brasiliand and portuguese king in the same time.

I'm not really sure why a statue gets to be classed as such a highly rated 'attraction'. This is really just a 'guy on a horse on a plinth' in Liberdade square. Take a photo, then move on. Sorry if that's some kind of sacrilege.

The Monument to D. Pedro IV is located in Liberty Square in the city of Porto in Portugal . It is an equestrian statue of 10 ft long and 150 years old. The bronze statue shows D. Pedro IV in a hunter uniform dress.

Great central place to meet for many of the free walking tours. Easy to find and near other major sites like the Sao Bento train station, city hall, and the old palace (now the Intercontinental hotel).
