You can easily view the whole canal/ building along side of canal from here. It has little uphill but is possible to take it with other little transportation to top as well.

Nice Church on a nice spot, worth to visit. Pay attention how to come there. Watch the map By the way always start on "river level" and then climb to more high places. First make a 6 bridges river cruise (about 45 minuten) then cross...More

A little TLC required for this once great church. The church is earmarked for renovation and thus, this Baroque styled building is not at its most salubrious. Nevertheless, it is still an old an interesting affair and worth a visit. The curator will tell you...More

I missed visiting hours for the church, but the building is beautifully lit at night and still well worth the climb to see. You'll be rewarded with the best view of the river... especially in late afternoon as the sun dips behind the city of...More

Don't skip it. Take a TukTuk there if you don't wish to walk it. Best views of Porto, Gaia and Douro available. Free to walk there. Beautiful pictures, breathtaking views

Good viewpoint to view the ribeira from. Catch the metro to the station on the Douro side of the bridge then it's a short but steep walk

We were disappointed since you couldn't walk around due to a major restoration. Nevertheless the less it's very impressive and you can easily imagine what it was like in the 18c when shiploads of gold was arriving from Brazil.

Unfortunately, none of my searches found info. on times. There are phone numbers for the church listed. Upon arrival in the city there are many who speak English and could call on your behalf and inquire.
