This is a very interesting structure. It’s actually all the structure in the immediate vicinity. It was built as a monument after some battle. It was built before of a church which was next to it and interesting. Right in the heart of old Town.



Translated it is Our Lady of the Olive Tree. This is a court with some tables and chairs. The square is quaint

There is little to say except this us a rather quaint historic square with, of course, lots of cafes and bars but none the worse for that.

Largo da Oliveira is a lovely public area. It is a wonderful spot to spend some time just walking around and looking at all the amazing things this place has to offer - great culture, architecture, history, friendly people, cafes and restaurants and much more....More





Spent 3 nights here and its really lovely wandering around the squares or Largos at night especially them being lit up. A lovely medieval feel to the place.

Gorgeous place to spend an afternoon or evening. Lovely friendly atmosphere, good bars ... good food !

Praca Largo Oleivera is perhaps the biggest and nicest square in historic Guimaraes. Surrounded by beautiful rows medieval buildings that are now apartments and an assortment of restaurants that serves good and reasonably prices food especially their Set Menus. Do look inside the nice church...More
