Fun Time

This is a fun way to spend a Monday in Espinho Portugal. They sell just about anything. We say canaries, fruits, clothes and shoes. But we did not walk it all. Give it a try you will love it.

Huge market

Very busy market containing everything! From plants to animals to clothes and shoes. Watch your back pack though, ours was partially unzipped!

You have to go to appreciate the size of the market. What a great day out to see all the locals shop and very cheap loved the atmosphere. If ever in Porto must get the train there as only half hour by train

Entertaining experience
Sep 2018 • Couples
Firstly, I'm a bloke so markets leave me a little cold but the wife loves them. I like to cook so the fish and veg sections are always interesting for me and some good examples of local produce can be found here. Once we hit the clothes section I switch to auto pilot and follow dutifully 😂. Then we came upon a section which is a mix of jumble sale and car boot! Women scrambling through piles of clothes, elbows out and tight fists holding prized finds. All with commentary from the stall holder stood on a crate and shouting through a megaphone. Priceless 😀. A couple of hours soon drifted by.

Super big market. Worth to visit.
Aug 2018 • Family
Every Monday from 6am-6pm. The biggest market I have seen and the best place in Espinho to visit. Several kilometers long. Start from the Norther side where the locals have their fish, vegetables, bread, souvenirs, household stuff, etc. The Southern end is full of cheap faked clothes, watches, shoes, etc.

Huge market

Huge market! So much fresh fish, meat, fruits and vegetables. As you get deeper and deeper the sales people get more aggressive. They are all yelling and if you stop to look they will heckle you. Prices are cheap though for what you get. Cook experience.

Everything
Jun 2018 • Family
Mondays provide a great opportunity to get deep into a very large market in Espinho. This market has pretty much everything you could be looking for from Food to cookery items, plants, fabrics, shoes and more. It is a place where you can easily whittle away the best part of a day just spending money. Be sure to negotiate on everything... you wont always get a price lower as many are already at a very low price point, but it makes the experience all the more fun to barter a little... but be kind!

Traditional market that has seen better days
Jul 2018 • Couples
Well, if you are looking for some traditional Portuguese goods, you may found them here. But prices are average, rarely cheaper and in most cases more expensive than in commercial stores that one surely finds in this city. Hope to see it better in the future...

HUGE! Loved the sights and seeing how locals shop...
Feb 2018
We decided to visit this market and were shocked at how large it was and how you can buy anything there! The market went on and on as we walked with tons of shops selling housewares, bread, cookies, shoes, clothes etc. Although we did not purchase anything, the experience was memorable.
