Small, unusual site.

Well done, indoors. This site is the location of a Roman era fountain shrine to local Gods. The accompanying video is excellent and in Portuguese, Spanish and English. The video shows and explains the various inscriptions and reconstructs the shrine.

Expecting better
Apr 2019 • Family
For entering it you must pay an entrance fee. It is probably worth for the explanations and the way it is musealized than for the monument itself. Enjoy!

Lovely place
Sep 2018 • Solo
It's a lovely place, small but full of history. And it's so ancient! I would prefer to see the fountain with water again, I think they should put it with some water just like Conimbriga roman city.

an enegmatic attraction

theres not much to see, but a video puts what there is to see in context. With imagination you could see that it was once impressive and important. worth a visit as its not expensive

Interesting old well
Jan 2018 • Solo
There isn't much to this site but what is there is interesting. The video does help as there isn't a lot of other information beyond a pamphlet that you are provided with. Only the wall and the rock that the etchings are on remain, so you do not get the sense of how it would have been 2000 years ago. It is in a large modern building but the video does help. You can get a combined ticket that also grants you access to the Roman Baths.

Not much going for it, but it doesn't cost much
May 2017 • Solo
I recommend going here if you need a cool place to sit for a bit. It's only 1.85 euro. It is the remains of a pagan fountain that was once on site when the city was under Roman rule.

Excellent place to see and the only well still in existence in Braga.
Mar 2017 • Couples
This is a difference type of museum where they have built an elaborate building to house the old well and set up a video to show how they believe it was constructed and explain the script still evident on the sculpture. Well worth a visit.

Nothing special except the historic place
Aug 2015 • Couples
Almost nothing to see, just some rocks with a little water. There is a short video about de fonte, but it is really like a 10 year old giving a presentation at school.
Not worth the 1,85 euro entrance fee.

Historical place
Aug 2014 • Couples
It is from the 1. century, most probabaly roman fountain. There is a video and good explanations about the history. You should spend too much time, but you can fell the history.

Small sacred spring site now enclosed in a modern building but worth hunting out. Very atmospheric and staff very helpful.
