If you only do one thing, do this. There is a beautiful terrace to have a coffee or dessert with an amazing view of the area. The church is also worth seeing. Also the water powered funicular is unique, fun & inexpensive.

Really enjoyed an hour in this place, taking photos of the pleasant architecture in the sunshine. A winding climb in the car but worth it. Good views over the city below.

The bus you need is bus no 2 and leaves about every twenty minutes from outside the railway station. As well as having the number on the front, it says Bom Jesus. The bus tickets cost €1,65 each way and you can buy them... More
