A must go area to walk on cobbled streets. Seek out small bars and restaurants where locals patronise. Look at the buildings especially those with ornate iron mongery.

The old town used to be a poor neighborhood. Nowadays it is quite busy for the many restaurants which opened in there. Also interesting are some examples of good street art. Enjoy!

We took a walk down Santa Maria Street which is lovely with all of the painted doors and murals. The entire area is beautiful with old buildings to look at. Lots of restaurants and bars are in the area if you want to sit and soak up the atmosphere for a while.

The bus driver pointed us in the right direction and we walked around some of the narrow cobbled streets where there are small shops, cafes and bars. The streets were being made ready for Christmas while we were there. Well worth a half day with coffee stops.
